Welcome to Our World of Laid-Back Living
Who We Are
Hermosa Living emerged from a team deeply attuned to the importance of discovering products that resonate with your lifestyle and individuality.
The tradition of crafting handmade wood is a cherished practice in Indonesia, passed down through generations. The dedication and artistry of these humble craftsmen have left an enduring impression on us. Recognising a distinctive market opportunity, we opted to directly export from the manufacturer. Hermosa Living stands as the sister brand of Barefoot Gypsy Homewares, with 12 years of experience in importing and exporting.
At Hermosa Living, we are deeply engaged in every aspect of our furniture – from collaborating with local artisans on design concepts to overseeing manufacturing and ensuring seamless global delivery.

INTERNATIONAL CLIENTS
How it Works
Hermosa Living primarily operates on an EXW (Ex Works) basis, placing the responsibility for transportation costs and risks on our clients from our premises. We facilitate shipping arrangements on behalf of our clients, with additional terms and costs communicated at the time of the request. While direct shipping or documentation services aren't offered, Hermosa Living leverages its expertise to assist clients in obtaining necessary documentation for seamless export processes and legal compliance.
Our dedicated team prides itself on serving as your proxy, managing all facets of the shipping process as if we were the clients ourselves. Drawing on extensive experience in successfully shipping to numerous countries, we've refined our skills to ensure that your cargo is handled with the utmost professionalism and care.
Our comprehensive management services encompass, but are not limited to:
Certificate of Origin
This crucial document certifies the country of origin for the exported item, particularly vital in specific countries.
Ocean Bill of Lading (B/L)
Serving as both a cargo receipt and a contractual agreement with the ocean carrier, the B/L is issued after the cargo is on board and listed in the ship’s manifest.
Commercial Invoice
A detailed bill from the seller to the buyer, essential for customs to determine the goods' value for duty calculation.
Packing List
Offering a breakdown of each package's contents, including type and quantity, facilitating efficient shipment handling.
Cargo Insurance Certificate
Provides assurance of insurance coverage against loss or damage during transit.
Export Licenses and Certificates
Depending on the nature of goods, this will include fumigation certificates, etc.
SVLK or V-Legal Documentation
Certificates validating the legality of wood products, crucial in certain countries to streamline customs processes.
Customs Documentation
Encompassing all necessary paperwork required by customs for a smooth export process.
At Hermosa Living, our expertise lies in the creation of handcrafted furniture, with each piece exemplifying unique artistry and exceptional craftsmanship.
It's crucial to appreciate that the inherent beauty of our wooden products is found in their natural character, including the natural tendency of wood to expand and contract in response to changes in humidity. This phenomenon is not a flaw but rather a natural aspect of wooden items "breathing" and adapting to their surroundings.
While we subject suar wood to an 8-week dry kiln process and employ meticulous packing methods, such as using well-ventilated containers and moisture-absorbing materials, to ensure the protection of your purchase during transit, some changes due to environmental conditions are unavoidable. Fluctuations in humidity levels, especially during shipping, can affect suar wood. Despite our efforts to minimise moisture-related damage, we recommend clients consider shipping insurance as an additional precaution.
It's important to note, however, that Hermosa Living cannot provide refunds or replacements for natural changes or damages occurring in transit. Our commitment to using natural, high-quality materials underscores our acceptance of these inherent characteristics, guaranteeing that each piece not only radiates beauty but also maintains the authenticity of the materials used.
